small black dog found today. I'll even put up signs because I'm guessing that anybody silly enough to neglect putting contact information on a dog tag (which is the whole point) isn't cruising CL for it.
If not, I know somebody who I think would love it.

cute little black dog found near 15th and wood street this morning. If you can tell me what the name is on his tag he's yours.

hint: if you had put your phone number on address in the tag as well you'd have him back already

So the other day I was ruminating on a nasty email to send as a response to this horrible service that doesn't honor unsubscribes. Well, instead I came home for a second mid day and the ticket lady was writing someone a ticket. This, while parked pretty much in the middle of the street beside two spaces she could have easily parked in – with her car door open so it was impossible to pass. It's typical – they don't care about traffic or even the reasons behind why parking tickets are supposed to be for the common good. They are just people who want to make money and have a little power trip with their bit of authority.

So, even though she was already giving me the stink eye for looking at her, I nicely asked her if she could please close her door so that I could pass by. She said “ I'll do that as soon as I have posted this ticket on the vehicle.” The ticket was already in her hand, so she did the DMV style slo-mo walk to the car and turned to also walk as slowly with exaggerated hip swinging as possible the 6 steps to her car. But yes, I already had a line ready to deliver so I figured she might as well hear it.

I smiled and said “You know, despite the deep disdain I have for your ilk, it's never ceases to amaze me how you can always manage to sink to even more contemptible depths.” Her sour look was unchanged, and she made sure to dick around a little after getting in her car before closing the door. She must have known I was laughing at her wretched existence.

My only regret is not taking a photo of her parking job to post with this.
